SaiTech will strive in its Task Order Management that at least 90 percent of electronic equipment used and purchased by SaiTech for execution of a Polaris Task Order is registered in the EPEAT system at least at the Bronze Level. EPEAT is a 3rd party certification designed to help large volume purchasers evaluate, compare, and select electronic products based upon their environmental attributes as specified in the consensus-based IEEE Standard for the Environmental Assessment of Personal Computer Products. Products to be evaluated for EPEAT compliance for purchase include:
- Computers & Displays
- Imaging Equipment
- Mobile Phones
- Photovoltaic Modules and Inverters (PVMI)
- Televisions
- Servers
SaiTech will track and review all qualifying purchases on a regular basis to ensure ongoing compliance with EPEAT purchases at the Bronze Level. We will strive to pursue Silver and Gold Registered products where applicable. Where feasible, non-EPEAT compliant products will be replaced with EPEAT products.
